¡Kellybell Choir

Kelly Bell Choir was established in April, 1984 by its current Musical Director, Nobuko Banno. All the members are graduates of Kinjyo Gakuin who were members of the handbell choir while students of Kinjo. It is named after the late Merle I. Kelly, an American missionary who first brought handbells to Japan. He taught that handbell is one of musical instruments to praise God. We follow his teaching. To introduce this wonderful music, we ring bells anywhere, especially at churches and welfare facilities. We practice handbells at Tokai Christian Church every Friday night.
