Barcelona, Spain

Harbor is so clouded for a summer vacation

Barcelona which was prosper by Mediterranean trade once, has a peculiar culture to be proud, and it's still one of the biggest city around the Mediterranean Sea.
Their manners and customs are prety different from the Andalucia which is influenced by Islam.
They speaks Spanish, and a little different Spanish called Catalonian.

Sagrada Familia Church

Sagrada Familia Church is a tipical building of Barcelona.
Antonio Gaudi who represents "Art Nouveau" designed the church, and the church is superlatively magnificent in all his works.
But it's not completed yet.
In fact, they've been building the church for more than 100 years, but they don't even know when it's going to be completed.
I was very much admired its appearance and their grand plan.

Bullring in Barcelona

Spanish Bullfight is also famous as a Flamenco.
I went to watch it with my wife Mieko.

The last stage which a bullfighter gives a finishing stroke to a bull is famous, but we did'nt know the opening performance.
In the first stage, some bullfighters with dagger come up, and the next bullfighters stab the bull with a sword at random.
Off cource, the bull is bleeding terribly, and already stagering.
Then, it's a turn for bullfighter.

Actually, we expected the single match bullfight.
I hate to say, but it was just a nasty show for us.
Like American people object hunting whales, I'm not willing to approve of Spanish bullfight.
And Mieko somehow does'nt eat beef today.
