Leaving for the World sailing alone

At "Meitetsu Nishiura Marina"(Gamagori, Aichi, Japan)

On June 4. 1990, I had a terrible hungover in the morning.
According as my motto "Have an alcohle and a smile for friends.".
I've been drinking at a send-off party all night long.

Not only my friends, but the officers from the immigration and customs, and some fishmen came to cheer me up.
Until that time, I'd never seen such a big sea bream which the fishermen brought.
(In Japan, people eat a sea bream for a good luck)
And my hands were fulled with bonquets.
The bonquets from my wife was a big part of it.
During the party, my wife was just smilling at me, like wishing me a good luck.
I did'nt say anything but really recognized her as a great partner.

At 10:30 a.m., the time came.
It was a super fine day with a clear sky, nice winds and waves to bring me out.
In a race, I've never taken the read, but I sailed at the head of the big parade.
I was happiest to be accompanied by thirteen boats and we all love ocean.
To tell the truth, we sometimes had a quarrel between fishermen and sailormen.
Because, sailormen sometimes get into fishery, and bother fishermen by accident.
But I can see clearly the good-catch flags "Tairyouki" waving next to the sails when I look back.
(They put up the good-catch flag only when a good catch.)

Since I got separated from twelve boats, the ham-radio has kept me busy all the time.
Fortunately, I have a banch of a ham-radio friends all over Japan, so I may here so much encouragement and the informations about the weather condinations.
I have so much Chivas Royal Salute for them.
