Iraklion, Crete Island, Greece

The fortress remains near the harbor

Crete Island was a dependent country before Greece Era and made their own culture, the Minoa.
The Knossus Palace is so famous for its labyrinth.

The port of Iraklion is always cloweded with huge liners.
I saw 4 liners comming into port at the same time.
According to a weather report, the high temp. is 90 degrees (30 degree centi-grade).
And humidity is 50% in the average of the end of September.
In the other way to say, it's an active weather all the year round.
I can understand why so many people come to visit this place.

Another thing I was surprised was that people in Crete eat all kind of sea products.
Since that time, I've believed European people basically don't eat it except some kinds.
But they are very different.
They like to eat fish and sea urchin raw, and they also eat cooked octopus and squid.
I've tried a raw fish marinated, raw sea urchin with yogurt, fried squid and more.
I liked them very much.
