Finish around the world sailing alone.

At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, May 31, 1992, I finally came back to mother harbor "Meitetsu Nishiura Marina"
One year and 361 days had been past, and I truely accomplished around the world sailing by myself.
To tell the truth, I was going to be back on June 4, taking exactly 2 years.
But, I was arrived much earlier by The Black Current.

When I let them know of my earlier arrival from the neighboring waters, they said "Don't come back so early, We are not ready for a party yet.".
I'm so sorry, I should have told them earlier.

My family, The Yacht Club members, all my friends, officers from customs, and the press were in a harbor.
"Thank you!!" for all of them.
When they asked me "How was the world sailing ?", The first thing I said was "I found such a huge world in the small earth.".
It sounds strange, but It is my honest expression.

Arround the world sailing is neither an adventure nor an inspiring feat at all.
Today, yacht is a secure vessel and hardier than you think.
Besides, It's prety easy to cross the ocean which there is almost no reef.

Many sailors wish to take around the world sailing, but most of them could'nt make it with economic reason or whatever reason is.
In my case, My efforts to solve those problems have luckly rewarded.
From my experience, I could say "You can do it possibly, if you really want it."
But you can't avoid some sacrifices to get money or opportunity for the world sailing.
The next thing I recomend is to shake it down to get yourself ready.
I think the world sailing is done byhalf, bringing over what you need for that.
At the time you'll make it done by all, you'll have been so satisfied with a great experience.
